High Voltage is a passion project. High Voltage was created by Leo, a surfer and coach with over 40 years of experience, originally from Sweden. He has been in sports and the ocean all his life, and it was he who laid the solid foundation of the school. He created the methodology, the atmosphere and the high standard, thanks to which the project became what it is.
Later, Anastasia, the second co-owner, originally from Siberia, joined the team. She came at a stage when High Voltage was already firmly on its feet, but she breathed into it a new vision, new energy and a different mentality.
Surfing became a deeply personal story for her. It changed her - and now she shares these emotions with others with great desire. Especially with like-minded people, those who are looking for not just a sport, but a sense of freedom, strength, depth and a reboot across the ocean.
Together, Leo and Nastya have created a powerful alliance, where everyone is responsible for their own strengths:

– Hails from Novosibirsk, where childhood friends aren’t waves, but freezing Siberian winters.
– Started with snowboarding and skiing—basically any sport where you can fall, get back up, and get that adrenaline rush.
– Met the ocean only recently, but since then, it’s been love at first sight—literally diving in headfirst.

From early childhood, sport and adrenaline were woven into the fabric of her life. Snowboarding, constant movement, and freedom—these were her first passions.
After leaving Russia, Anastasia lived for many years in England, where she encountered diverse cultures and mindsets. She developed a broad worldview and deep understanding of how the world works—from corporate routines to alternative ways of living. At some point, she realized it was time for change and set off for the Canary Islands… where she truly found herself.
There, her story in the surf industry began—alongside her journey toward genuine inner freedom.
Anastasia isn’t just a professional in her field—she’s someone who constantly seeks adrenaline and new horizons. She rides enduro motorcycles, loves traveling, exploring untouched places, and is always up for any adventure that pulses with energy, motion, and life.

Leo — a child of the ocean, an accomplished athlete and coach, and a true pioneer in the world of water sports.
Leo’s journey with the ocean began over 40 years ago, when, at just four years old, he conquered his first wave off the Canary Islands. Born into a family of sailors and skilled craftsmen, Leo literally grew up on the water. His grandfather was his first guide into the oceanic world, taking him to explore the wild coastlines of the volcanic island of Lanzarote. It was there that Leo first felt his deep passion for the sea—a passion he has continuously expanded upon throughout his life in various water sports.
By his teenage years, Leo was already competing in local and national events across the UK. At the age of 14, he emigrated to Antigua to pursue his dream: becoming a world-class professional athlete. Across the Caribbean—from Barbados and Guadeloupe to Antigua—he honed his skills in surfing and windsurfing, emerging not only as a champion but also as a respected figure within the water sports community.
By the age of 16, Leo had become a certified surfing instructor (ISA Level 2) and an advanced windsurfing coach (Level 5), and also earned his license as a powerboat instructor (Level 2), demonstrating his complete mastery of the ocean environment.
In 1999, Leo triumphed in the prestigious Haiho Island-to-Island windsurfing race as part of Team Antigua, solidifying his reputation as a strong and determined athlete. By 2001, he placed 9th in the PWA professional freestyle windsurfing event on the island of Bonaire, competing against the world’s top athletes.
Chasing the next wave of success, Leo moved to Maui, Hawaii, where he dedicated himself to big wave surfing and the deep psychology of extreme states. There, he collaborated with industry legends such as Nils Rosenblad (NeilPryde), Keith Teboul, and Shawn Ordonez (Quatro International), contributing to the development of innovative sails and boards for windsurfing and surfing.
Returning to Antigua and the Canary Islands, Leo founded and successfully developed schools for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. He didn’t just teach thousands of people—he built vibrant water sports communities, always guided by his personal maritime code.
Leo’s next destination: Morocco. His mission is to share his knowledge, passion, and love for the ocean with a new generation of surfers and adventure seekers. For Leo, water is more than just an element or a sport—it’s a way of life, a source of strength, and a profound connection to nature.

Born into a family of yachtsmen and craftsmen, Leo literally grew up on the water. His first guide to the world of the ocean was his grandfather, with whom they explored the wild coasts of the volcanic island of Lanzarote. It was there that Leo first felt his passion for the ocean and since then has been constantly expanding his horizons in water sports.
Later, Anastasia, the second co-owner, originally from Siberia, joined the team. She came at a time when High Voltage was already confidently standing on its feet, but breathed into it a new vision, fresh energy and a different mentality. Founders and Our Inspiration
Leo is a water-born individual, an experienced athlete and coach, as well as a pioneer in the world of water sports.
Leo’s journey with the ocean began over 40 years ago when, at just four years old, he conquered his first wave off the Canary Islands. Born into a family of sailors and skilled craftsmen, Leo literally grew up on the water. His grandfather was his first guide into the oceanic world, taking him to explore the wild coastlines of the volcanic island of Lanzarote. It was there that Leo first felt his deep passion for the ocean—a passion he has continuously expanded upon throughout his life in various water sports.
By his teenage years, Leo was already competing in local and national events across the UK. At the age of 14, he emigrated to Antigua to pursue his dream: becoming a world-class professional athlete. Across the Caribbean—from Barbados and Guadeloupe to Antigua—he honed his skills in surfing and windsurfing, emerging not only as a champion but also as a respected figure within the water sports community.
By the age of 16, Leo had become a certified surfing instructor (ISA Level 2) and an advanced windsurfing coach (Level 5), and also earned his license as a powerboat instructor (Level 2), demonstrating his complete mastery of the ocean environment.
In 1999, Leo triumphed in the prestigious Haiho Island-to-Island windsurfing race as part of Team Antigua, solidifying his reputation as a strong and determined athlete. By 2001, he placed 9th in the PWA professional freestyle windsurfing event on the island of Bonaire, competing against the world’s top athletes.
Chasing the next wave of success, Leo moved to Maui, Hawaii, where he dedicated himself to big wave surfing and the deep psychology of extreme states. There, he collaborated with industry legends such as Nils Rosenblad (NeilPryde), Keith Teboul, and Shawn Ordonez (Quatro International), contributing to the development of innovative sails and boards for windsurfing and surfing.
Returning to Antigua and the Canary Islands, Leo founded and successfully developed schools for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. He not only taught thousands of people but also built vibrant water sports communities, always guided by his personal maritime code.
Leo’s next destination: Morocco. His mission is to share his knowledge, passion, and love for the ocean with a new generation of surfers and adventure seekers. For Leo, water is more than just an element or a sport—it’s a way of life, a source of strength, and a profound connection to nature.
